Friday night lights brought mixed emotions this year as our Racers prepared to compete. After 20 years we boarded the bus and traveled to PCO for the 5A State Semi Finals. Our opponents, the Guthrie Bluejays, were known for their strong performance. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and nervousness as both teams took the field. We knew this game would be a true test of our skills and determination. The game was an unforgettable battle filled with excitement and tension. Both teams fought hard trading points and keeping the score close until the very end. The energy in the stadium was electric with the student section cheering loudly and proudly for their team. Fans from both sides created an incredible atmosphere making the experience even more thrilling. In moments like this the spirit of competition truly shines bringing everyone together in support of their players.
As we reach this moment it is clear that a significant chapter is closing for many of our seniors. This time brings a mix of emotions including pride and reflection. You may find yourself replaying every game and considering the choices you made and how they affected your team. It is natural to think about what you could have done differently. Remember your hard work and dedication have left a lasting impact and this journey has shaped you as an individual and as a teammate. Now smile because you just played in the 5A State Semi Finals, 30 other teams can’t say that.
Well done to all the coaches! You did an amazing job encouraging these athletes to keep pushing until the very end and it was a pleasure to watch. I’m excited for the next season and can’t wait to see the Racers return and do great! We may be young but the foundation you have laid for them to reach your goals is already in place.
